GPlogic Registrar wins RACGP GP Registrar of the year award.

GPlogic wishes to congratulate and acknowledge Dr Verena Doolabh regarding her selection as the RACGP General Practice Registrar of the Year 2008. Dr Doolabh is a GPlogic registrar working at Castlereach Medical Centre at Coonamble in central-western NSW. This Award recognises and individual general practice registrar's commitment to general practice, and to learning to serve their patients, practice and community.

The award was presented at the Wonca Asia Pacific Regional Conference/RACGP Annual Scientific Convention (ASC) Dr Chris Mitchell, RACGP President congratulated Dr Doolabh and thanked her for her outstanding service to the college, to general practice and to the community.

Dr Doolabh also received $5000 educational scholarship and a profile in the Australian Family Physician, the medical journal of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Doolabh registered with the GPlogic training program in January 2008 and is due to complete her training in late 2009 or early 2010.
