From our experience, family separation is the most significant
cause of stress and failure for registrars. However, we understand
that sometimes it is simply not possible for you to bring your
family with you, so we have introduced a family reunion program
to help you visit them.
If you go to the western sector we
will provide 6 return trips to Sydney each term and 4 return
trips for placements in the central sector. You may actually
find it’s easier to see more of your family while working
in Broken Hill than if you were working in some towns nearer
to Sydney.
Given that you will be returning frequently to Sydney
it’s not so important for you to be able to plan ahead
for more than two terms (that’s why we give preference
to registrars whose families are in the
region).
Explore the
training opportunities in the GPlogic region by clicking on
the various training locations listed on the left. If you need
any help call our Registrar Support Manager, Margaret Beer
on 02 6882 4911.

STEP 1
Register your interest with
GPlogic by clicking on the Register
your interest here link
at the top left of the page. The sooner you begin the process
the more likely you are to get your choice.

STEP 2
Apply
to GPET for admission to the AGPT program and make GPlogic
your first preference.

STEP 3
Once you have been accepted
by GPET and GPlogic you can proceed to plan your training
program with us in discussion with our Director of Medical
Education.

STEP 4
Apply to Gplogic for the individual training posts of your
choice for the next 12 months. As a registrar whose family
is outside the region your application will be processed
in the main placement rounds which commence on February 1
and August 1 each year.
